Summer holidays is your annual opportunity for relaxation and rest. It will not be very easy to follow your every day beauty routine when on vacation. On top of that, you would not want to carry a bunch of beauty products in your luggage. Here are the basic beauty items for your summer holidays list:
Summer holidays list
- Sunscreen
Sunscreen is the only item that you should make no compromise on. You must have a good quality sunscreen. You need to apply it from the beginning of your day and not just before going to the sea. Also do not forget to renew it as necessary.
- Deodorant
Prefer a natural aluminum free deodorant and leave your perfume at home. When the weather is hot avoid using products that contain fragrances. Tip: Do you feel uncomfortable in your sandals? Try to apply deodorant on your feet where there is friction between your skin and the shoes.
- Castile Soap
Suitable for your face, body, hair, even your pets. You can also use it to rinse fruit and vegetables and to clean surfaces. It is ideal for vacation with its endless uses. You can read more here: DR. BRONNER’S LIQUID SOAP : 9 REASONS TO TAKE IT ON VACATION WITH YOU.
- Aloe Vera Gel
Take an Aloe vera gel instead of your hand & body lotion. Apart from moisturizing it is also ideal for after sun use as well as for the treatment of minor irritation (i.e. after depilatory practices). Tip: Add a small quantity in your hands and apply to your hair after washing. Aloe vera will moisturize your hair and prevent frizzing.
- Beauty Oil
Pack a small bottle of your favorite natural beauty oil like almond oil, coconut oil etc. You can use it for removing your make-up, moisturizing your face and the areas that need special treatment during summer like nails, elbows and heels.
- Make-Up
You can leave make up at home. Summer is not a good season for heavy make-up. Just take a moisturizing lip gloss with you that will add shine and nourish your lips. If you insist on using make-up use only an eye shadow to bring attention to your eyes. You should definitely avoid foundation and powder because, combined with heat and sweat, the result will be far from flattering. Tip: There are oils that nourish and make eyelashes look thicker. You can use them instead of mascara.
